Roy Mathison studied Art & Design at South Tyneside College before completing Visual communication at Sunderland University. Roy continued to work in industry as a pattern maker delivering products to national company's.

Roy works across a range of mixed media, from painting, sculpture to photography and digital illustration. He is interested in over lapping textures, light and dark. "I love to capture a narrative, which allows the viewer to stay with the artwork and keep exploring further time and time again."
